Weaving baskets, whether traditional baskets or functional, to Mary, is as interesting as the creative way they are put to use. They as varied as the friendships she has been privileged to make along the way. And what a privilege it is!

Sue enjoys creating baskets from rattan reed and some naturals. After a day of teaching high school Spanish she can unwind by weaving a few rows on a basket. It is very relaxing. She also teaches the art of basketweaving to Girl and Goy Scouts and an occasional adult class.
